Putin wants new relations with Poland

September 1st marked the 70th anniversary of Germany’s invasion of Poland and the start of World War II. The Polish town of Wielun was the first victim of the war in Europe – attacked five minutes after Westerplatte in Gdansk, the tiny military outpost which was shelled by a German battleship. The German chancellor and the Russian prime minister will attend Westerplatte’s commemoration but Wielun will hold its own anniversary ceremony. Ouvrons les frontières…du cinéma est-européen !

Le cinéma est-européen, un cinéma aux couleurs de la vie.
Le cinéma russe, soviétique et même slave dans son ensemble est malheureusement peu connu  si ce n’est pas, du public d’Europe occidentale. Pour les nouveaux films, ce n’est que très rarement que vous pourrez les voir dans les salles de cinémas. Quand aux plus anciens, il faudra guetter une diffusion tardive une veille d’examen sur ARTE…
Mais vous vous en doutez, comme un nombre conséquent de formes d’art, d’idées et d’analyses ne servant pas la logique du marché, il n’en est pas …

Nu, pagadi! - Ну, погоди!

Nu, pagadi! (Ну, погоди!, Well, Just You Wait! or You Just Wait!) or Nu pagadi Zaychik (Let me catch you rabbit) is a Soviet/Russian animated series produced by Soyuzmultfilm. The series was created in 1969 and became a popular cartoon of the Soviet Union. Additional episodes have been produced in Russia since 2006.
The series follows the comical adventures of an artistic and mischievous wolf trying to catch (and presumably eat) the hare. The series usually takes place in Moscow, but other episodes have been set in other places …
