Rodion, if it is your real name, you are Russian. That's why I understand why you can't understand what I have said.
For Russia it's better to make alliance with Central Asian countries, and being there a leader. Because Russian wants to be a leader, see world-ruler. But because of weak economy, dictatorship regime, and mentality, Russia can only make a war against such little countries as Georgia.
For Ukraine, we share common European mentality, which Russians can't share, because of their own, asian, mentality. They want to see a strong king or dictator as a president of their country. Which is common to Asian countries. Ukrainians want a democracy, because we had it during Cossacks epoch. And it's in our mentality. By the way, don't forget that the first democratic constitution in the world was performed in Ukraine.

Sure Ukraine is European, as Russia, but it does not mean that Ukraine has to be a member of NATO. NATO is an aggressive coalition which, nowadays, is obsolete. Europeans need a new Defence System.
Sure Ukraine suffered with the Holodomor, Chernobyl, etc., but it is the fault of Bolshevism and not the fault of Russians (even if some of them see Ukrainians as littles brothers). The independence of Ukraine is important but it does not mean that Ukraine has to become a puppet of the USA for ensuring its freedom. Ukraine has a long relationship with Russia but also Poland. The relationship between Ukraine and Russia or eventually Poland has not be seen in a chauvinistic way but in the way of Slavic brotherhood (as Belgium, Switzerland, Québec and France organize their relationships with the "Francophony").

Russia always like to pretend that its territory was the beginning of a lot of slavic countries, but the fact is that it's not true.
It is better to pick several sources, especially concerning russian medias.
I don't understand why Ukraine was separated from its original territory. Ukraine has always been where it is now.
Plus, we have to remember that Russia is a big part of Asia and Ukraine is in Europe.

Ukraine is a geographical center of Europe. We share europian culture, history, mentality. So Ukraine should be in NATO. And also, it is normal, that Ukraine doesn't want to be with Russia. We had our history, our independent state, but Russia occupied Ukraine for 300 years. Also there were a lot of evil thing in Ukraine caused by Russia such as: Chornobyl explosion, Femine (Holodomor), war against Ukraine in 1920s, Ukrainian language was forbidden till 1980s and even such conflicts as Tuzla conflict in 2003, gas wars in 2006 and 2009. So, I think it is quiet normal, that Ukraine wants to be a part of Europe, but not a part of Asia (see Russia).
P.S. I strongly recommend you do not use such "news source" as Russia Today, because it is a propaganda.
